FIELD SAFETY OFFICER/SSHO
We are a 100% employee-owned heavy equipment civil contractor principally engaged in the construction of streets, highways, utility systems, and public and private commercial site preparation projects in the southeastern United States.
We are looking for an experienced Field Safety Officer/SSHO to provide support to our Safety/Loss Control Department. In this role, you will be entrusted with an ongoing mission to provide project site safety and health support; quickly transition and re-focus on diverse tasks related to program management; and multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate for this job will have the practical experience and soft skills to be a team player, resourceful, a proven problem solver, and highly organized. The successful candidate will be experienced in all areas of project site safety support; will have superior technology skills and will be able to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our program agenda.
Position Responsibilities:
Position Title: Field Safety Officer (A6).
Minimum Qualifications:
*3 - 5 years’ experience serving as a Field Safety Officer/SSHO or similarly designated position in the heavy equipment civil construction industry.
*OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Certification
*First Aid/CPR/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications
*Trench & Excavation Competent Person Training
*Confined Space Competent Person Training
*OSHA Fall Protection Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
*OSHA 500
*CSP or similar industry credentials
